십상이다 can be used and conjugated after a verb stem ending with 기, and shows that something is very likely to happen. However, it can only be used to show some sort of negative thing happening, and often comes together with the (으)면 grammar form. Although this is an intermediate grammar form, it’s more useful in the advanced level – but it’s not that common of a form.
