The main CSS property responsible for the circular shape is the border-radius property. Setting the radius of the corners to 50% of the width/height results in a circle.
Just add the border-radius:50%; to circular.
CSS is capable of making all sorts of shapes. Squares and rectangles are easy, as they are the natural shapes of the web. Add a width and height and you have the exact size rectangle you need
