This video marks the start of my Swedish exploration. After months spent interviewing people across Denmark (the first country of my Scandinavian trip) to understand the "boring" but essential aspects of a nation—from the housing market to the mindset, from the job environment to the education and culture—I realized that understanding a country is only half the battle; the other half is understanding how we fit into it.
In this first episode, I sit down with a Swedish engineer and sailor to get a broad overview of what it really means to live in Sweden today. We talk about work, traditions, and the challenges of the current system, providing a general panorama of the themes I will be diving into with much more depth in the coming weeks.
During this journey, Sweden and (mostly) Norway gave me a "cold reality check" that is changing the way I look at travel and storytelling. This is just the beginning of a more analytical and profound journey.
