HOW TO CREATE A STRONG PASSWORD? Flutter app (Password Manager)
3 months ago, my wife's email was hacked.
We quickly restored access to the mail, but I was interested in how it happened.
I began to study modern methods of cracking passwords, and I deduced a few rules for myself so that this would not happen again.
There are two pieces of news:
1. Bad - If you want to hack, there is always a way to do it
2. Good – most ordinary people do not need to be afraid of this
So let's look at the most common ways to crack passwords, 80-90% of cases fall on the well-known rules, but it still works
Password security tips:
1. Use long passwords
2. Don't use passwords from the top 200 most common passwords
3. Don't click on links, even in supposedly real e-mails
4. Don't store passwords from other services in the mail
5. Don't use the same passwords for different services
6. Use 2-step verification where possible
7. Don't install third-party little-known applications
Keep in mind that 80-90% of the hacking comes from these simple rules
Now, what do we do?
If you are a developer, you can create your own password manager. I decided to go this route and create my own personal password manager for me and my wife based on this Android and Iphone app in #Flutter. What does it do? If it is personal, and does not appear anywhere, then it is impossible to break it.
If you have no programming experience, then:
1. #Password Manager. One minus, if it is hacked, they will get access to all passwords at once.
