Perovskite solar cells are easy to build, using materials that are easy to source when compared to traditional solar panels.
Perovskites are crystil based.
They still have problems with efficiency and durability.
UNIST in Korea has created a new style of perovskite solar cell that is 23.5% efficient at converting light into electricity
It kept 91% of it's efficacy after 120 hours of use, standard perovskites drop to 90% after 5 hours and 50% after 20 hours of use.
