This video explains the difference between streaming and downloading. Streaming is a way to watch or listen to content without having to download it. It's a fast way to access internet content and it is delivered to your device quickly but it’s not stored there. Streaming content lives on someone else server.
Downloading involves the storage of the content at the users device from the server before viewing the content. Unlike streaming, when you download media you save it to your computer, laptop, smartphone, or other device. You take a copy of the digital content down from the internet to reside on your device.
