Off Road Rescue of this expensive sxs from a huge floating “muskeg” mat with water of unknown depth underneath. (Assume deep!) Places alongside the power line trail that are open can be 15-20’ or more to the bottom. This was on a chilly Thanksgiving Monday! Sadly the side by side damaged by helpful but unskilled people before we arrived. They hooked a winch to the trailing arm and bent it badly. Which the owner thought was going to cost way more than our bill. Bit of concern surrounding oncoming wet weather and not wanting the rig to slip deeper or worst case fall through completely. Took two trips in to get it as didn’t have enough gear to reach out there there the first night and we got skunked. Unfortunately we didn’t end up with any of the video from the first nights work but at least there’s this!
All our recovery gear is made by @afraidknotropes in Canada with Canadian materials. Check him out he’s a good dude.
