A friend asked me, "If you were to name the new party, what would you name it?" I said, "Enough is Enough Party." Of course, it was a joke… But this name expresses the rebellion of CHP voters against the successive disappointments they've suffered over the last 20 years. In 2014, they said, "We have a fantastic candidate"; all that came out was Ekmelettin İhsanoğlu; people worked for a candidate they didn't believe in at all; he lost. In 2018, Muharrem İnce became the candidate. New excitement, new disappointment on election night… In 2022, they said, "The Six-Party Table is marching towards power"; neither the table nor the alliance remained. In 2025, Ekrem İmamoğlu was voted for with excitement, as the "candidate who will defeat Erdoğan." First, the municipality was lost, then İmamoğlu was imprisoned. Then came the Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu case. The collapse that followed each wave of hope, while disheartening the masses, did not diminish their will to get rid of Erdoğan. Conversely, the public has reached a point where – to use that well-known joke – they would vote for a Coca-Cola bottle if it were a candidate.
