Affinity Photo Use Selection Tools To Help Make A Shaped Layer Mask
A member of the Facebook group, Fans of Serif Software. Had a problem following part of a very good tutorial by Affinity Revolution.
In this tutorial, Affinity Revolution placed an image of a lake inside the image of a light bulb. I will add a link to this video at the end of this description.
The problem was, they couldn't, for whatever reason, do a very good job of using the Brush Tool to paint on the Layer Mask around the edge of the lightbulb. I suggested using a selection tool to do this for them. Because of the lack of distinction of the bulb edge on the background, I didn't think the Selection Brush or Flood Selection Tools would work in this image, (although should be ok in others). I used the Pen Tool to make the selection area to make a Layer Mask from.
