A short film documenting a field campaign with researchers from GEUS to the Southern Bays, a remote and seldom visited region of Greenland. The film follows Dr Camilla Andresen and her team as they journey along the coast in a small fishing trawler. Dr Andresen aims to collect marine sediment cores from this heavily glaciated region to understand how glaciers have responded in the past to climatic changes - this information is key to predicting the future behaviour of the Greenland Ice Sheet.

The film was edited and produced by 196 Productions Ltd. Cardiff. For further information and documentaries by 196 Productions visit opengates.tv
