An IoT platform company developing embedded hardware? This isn’t the type of company you’d think would build this kind of technology.’
But that’s what Ayla Networks did with their Development Kit v2.0.
Ayla Networks Development Kit v2.0 is covered by a shield that supports a wireless module. This particular kit is based on a production-ready Wi-Fi module from Murata that leverages a Cypress chipset, and comes pre-loaded with a no-coding-required networking stack. Secure connectivity to the Ayla IoT Cloud over TLS provides access to a simple set of Ayla APIs that handle Wi-Fi provisioning and integration with Ayla’s mobile app.
Take note that this app functionality is important, not only because of the inherent need for a mobile app in many IoT applications, but principally because it reflects the capabilities of the Ayla IoT Cloud.
With the cloud, you have access to customizable connectivity and device management resources, as well as a true "digital twin platform" that allows you to mirror all of your device's inputs, outputs, and log application data in the cloud.
If you want to get your hands on one of these kits, you can’t – at least not from your traditional distributors. You’ll have to visit the URL on the screen and register for a free trial, after which Ayla will approve you and ship you a kit along with 30 days of free access to their edge to cloud platform for evaluation.
But if you want to save a few bucks, you have the opportunity to win this kit by entering the raffle here: https://opensysmedia.formstack.com/fo...
