Ranking Digital Rights is setting global standards for how companies in the information and communications technology sector should respect freedom of expression and privacy. The 2018 Index ranked 22 of the world’s most powerful companies. The overarching finding is that company disclosures are inadequate across the board. Most of the world’s internet users lack the information they need to make informed choices. Lisa Gutermuth, associated researcher at HIIG, will present the findings and discuss the implications for citizens.
