What app to build in 2017? Progressive web apps VS. native apps VS. hybrid apps
The apps debate got another dimension as Google proposed progressive web apps as the next big thing in 2015.
However, most people building apps today still prefer native apps or hybrid apps, for several reasons, but much because that's what people actually use.
We gathered three experienced developers and CTO's to discuss the three types of apps most developers are building today:
1. Jordi Miro Bruix, former CTO of Wuaki.tv
2. Senior developer at Ulabox, Rubén Sospedra
3. Founder and CEO of Javascript coder bootcamp Codeworks.me Alessandro Zanardi
Before the debate, more than 40 percent of the audience said they would build a native app if they would have to build something tomorrow. About 30 percent of rest was divided into hybrid apps and progressive web apps.
