Media Offline - A Possible Fix For Re-Linking Files in Premiere Pro

when I would transfer projects from my desktop to my laptop (or vice versa) I would constantly run into this problem where random media files would go offline and would refuse to re-link with the message "The Importer Reported a Generic Error". The only solution I could find was to delete the media from the project (including any instances in a timeline) and then re-import the media. But a simple change from a uppercase file extension to lower case seems to solve my problem. Hope it does for you too.

This was tried in both Premiere Pro CC 2019 v13.0.2 and 2018 v12.1.2 on a Windows 10 machine.
