We’ve had some awful referees in UFC history, but this one was banned while working an event.
UFC 267 in 2021 was a great event, Glover submitted Jan to become champion, Petyr Yan beat Cory to become Interim champion, and Islam Makhachev submitted Dan Hooker.
But in the prelims, Dos Santos was beating the brakes off Saint-Denis and the referee was doing nothing .
Saint Denis just retreated and didn’t do much as Dos Santos frustratingly gestured to the referee to stop the fight.
The commentary team also urged for the fight to be stopped, but amazingly the referee let the fight continue until Saint-Denis lost a decision.
