In this video, I'll discuss a helpful technique for composers in the film and TV industry - importing tempo maps from Cubase to Dorico. This video explains how I use Cubase's free warp tool to make precise adjustments and align music with specific beats in a film scene. Then I'll add markers in Cubase and use the warp grid tool to create a tempo map, which can be exported as a MIDI file and imported into Dorico. This allows for a more efficient and intuitive workflow, as the tempo changes are automatically transferred to Dorico. You can even export markers! Overall, this process makes it easy to make changes to the tempo map in Cubase and then re-import it into Dorico to update an existing score (without having to manually adjust the tempo changes).
