Create A Linux Virtual Machine Using Microsoft Azure Portal || HandsOn
In this video we talked about how to create a Linux Virtual Machine in the Microsoft Azure portal :-
1. Login to Azure Portal: Sign in to the Azure portal (https://portal.azure.com/).
2. Navigate to Virtual Machines: Click on "Virtual machines" in the left-hand menu.
3. Add New Virtual Machine: Select "Add" to create a new virtual machine.
4. Basic Configuration:
Choose a subscription and resource group.
Provide a unique VM name.
Select a region.
Choose "Ubuntu" or your preferred Linux distribution under "Image."
5. Size: Choose a virtual machine size based on your requirements.
6. Settings:
Set up authentication: Choose an authentication type (SSH key or password).
Specify a username and password or SSH key depending on your choice.
7. Disks and Networking:
Configure OS disk settings.
Set up networking, including virtual network, subnet, and public IP settings.
8. Management:
Enable or disable monitoring and diagnostics based on your preferences.
9. Advanced:
Configure optional features like extensions, cloud-init, etc.
10. Tags:
Optionally, add tags for organizational purposes.
11. Review and Create:
Review your configuration settings.
Click "Create" to deploy the virtual machine.
12. Deployment:
Wait for the deployment to complete. You can monitor the progress in the Azure portal.
Once the deployment is successful, you can connect to your Linux virtual machine using SSH. Make sure to open the necessary ports in the network security group if you need to access services on the VM.
