[VHS 60fps 10-bit] The Official 1989 World Series Video
Taken from a VHS tape. I couldn't find any footage of the 1989 Earthquake in 60fps, so I started this project. At 13:24, Macrovision starts.
The original upload ( • [VHS 60fps] The Official 1989 World Series... ) used a rather wacky method to get around Macrovision. I captured once with a Canopus ADVC110 (gets chroma with Macrovision) and again with a Dazzle capture card (gets luma with Macrovision), then combined the two manually. I used Yadif deinterlacing algorithm and Sony Movie Studio to edit and upscale ("best" quality).
However, this upload uses a Blackmagic Intensity Pro 4K capture card along with a XDIMAX Grex "video stabilizer", which means a Macrovision remover. I also used QTGMC deinterlacer instead of Yadif, nnedi3_rpow2(factor = 8) AI upscaling (both in AVISynth+ and Virtualdub2), as well as a better pixel aspect ratio in DaVinci Resolve 17.

After they defeated the red-hot Chicago Cubs in a thrilling National League Championship Series, the stage was set for a showdown with Oakland.
Thus begins the California "dream" Series. It contained all the drama the Fall Classic is known for...and then some. Before the fourth game, a tragic earthquake turned the dream into a shattered nightmare for all concerned.
