Every rapper wants their vocals to sound clear. That’s why they’ll shell out $100 for studio time, or pay services like Stemmer to mix and master their songs. The only people who hate unclear, muffled vocals more than rappers, are audio engineers. I take this to the extreme by purposely muffling my voice with the mask, and then complaining to the studio engineer that my vocals don’t sound clear. Audio engineers are used to dealing with difficult clients, and I push him to his limit.
I could have just booked a random studio to film this video, but I added a twist. I booked a session with an old colleague of mine, Jake Summers ( / jakenainteasy ) without revealing my identity. I called him and booked the session from a fake number, and tried hard to not reveal myself. Wait till the end to see me reveal my identity, after aggravating him off by being an annoying client.
