2027 Audi SQ 9 // SPY PHOTOS
Audi spent a lot of time debating whether it needs a large SUV in its lineup, and after many years of going back and forth, it has finally decided to give the Q9 a shot.
A rival to the likes of the Mercedes GLS and BMW X7, as well as the Cadillac Escalade and other large SUVs with premium vibes, this model is currently in the testing and fine-tuning phase. We have seen several prototypes in the open courtesy of our vigilant spy photographers, and the rendering world has peeled off its fake skin multiple times, revealing the design. Thus, from a visual perspective, anyway, we pretty much know what to expect.
The first-ever Audi Q9 will look like an enlarged version of the next-gen Q7, which is also in the making as we speak. It has a split lighting signature up front, with the lower units that flank the big grille being the main clusters, and the upper ones the DRLs. It also has a large air intake in the bumper, a clamshell-like design for the hood, a rather clean profile with a tall roofline, a large tailgate, LED taillights, a thin light strip below them, and a backlit four-ring logo above.
