In this event we are providing 1,000 Solar Lantern for the Earthquake victim of Bhaktapur and others part of Nepal. They can have gift of deep empathy and hope for the future too. Aoi Sano composed original songs in order to encourage people and herself after the earthquake. One of them “A Thousand Light, Shanti” was especially composed for this Lantern Festival. “Shanti” stand for PEACE in English. We can reach peaceful state of mind when we pray for the people who lost their lives, when we remember the family and beloved ones who passed away. Lights of Solar Lanterns will show our way to the World of Shanti!
Aoi Sano received strong power and motivation to hold this Festival when she performed street music performance in Basantapur Kathmandu just after the earthquake.
Aoi SANO, a Japanese talented singer-songwriter, raised up in Miyagi prefecture where the big earthquake of 2011 was affected the most,has been supporting Nepali people since the big earthquake in 2015 through distributing goods and constructing toilets .
