After updating to iOS 26, you might’ve noticed that PDFs, images, and other files no longer open inside the Files app — they open in the new Preview app instead! 😤
In this video, I’ll show you how to fix this and make your iPhone open files inside the Files app again using Quick Look. It’s super simple:
1️⃣ Tap and hold on any file (like a PDF or image).
2️⃣ Choose “Open With.”
3️⃣ Select “Quick Look” — and done!
From now on, all files of that type will open directly in the Files app instead of Preview. You just need to repeat the steps once for each file type (PDF, image, etc.).
This fix works on **any iPhone running iOS 26**, including iPhone 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, and 16 models.
