How to cast your Vote
1. Verification and Activation: After verifying the indelible ink on your finger, the presiding officer will activate the Ballot Unit by pressing the Ballot button on the Control Unit.
2. Polling Compartment: Enter the polling compartment and check if the green light indicator on the Ballot Unit is glowing. This indicates that the Ballot Unit is ready to register your vote.
3. Casting Your Vote: Press the blue button next to the name of the candidate you wish to vote for. The red light next to the chosen candidate's name will glow.
4. VVPAT Verification: The Voter Verifiable Paper Audit Trail (VVPAT) printer will print a ballot slip containing the serial number, name, and symbol of your chosen candidate. This slip will be visible for 7 seconds before falling into the ballot compartment.
5. Confirmation: A beep sound will confirm that your vote has been successfully recorded.
