Rocket.Chat, Nitrux Linux, and more. It;'s Cooking With Linux (without a net)
Today, on "Cooking With Linux" (without a net), I installed an alternative to Slack that comes with all the expected bells and whistles. It's called Rocket.Chat. I install a server, a client, and invite my live audience to connect and chat real time. Also, we look at yet another Linux distribution you've never heard of. We check for rootkits with rkhunter and audit a system with Lynis. Oh . . . You know how I keep mentioning that doing this live comes with a high probability of things going wrong? Well it happened on today's show and the resulting show was broken up into two videos which I have downloaded and reassembled here. In short, while you're watching the original show, today it comes with minimal edits because a few minutes in, my whole session died.
