On a daily basis, I don't think about what it would be like if I were an amputee, missing one leg or one arm. It seems obvious to me that I'm functional and have all my limbs. But sometimes there are situations that pull me out of this state and make me look at the people around me with greater empathy. Thanks to Agnieszka Wnuk, who works at a place where amputees receive support in regaining mobility in new circumstances, I learned what's important in such situations. I was surprised to realize how complicated simple tasks become when a limb is missing. For me, it was a lesson – on the one hand, in gratitude for being fully functional, and on the other, in empathy. I invite you to listen to our conversation and talk with us!
