TELEMEDICINE (Online Consultation) as NEW NORMAL from COVID-19 | Doc Fate Cunanan
We were all struck when it was announced almost three months ago that will be placed under Enhanced Community Quarantine. Free online consultations were given to lessen the unnecessary ER consults, support implementation of community quarantine and alleviate surge in health facilities against COVID-19 or Coronavirus.
Coming with Telemedicine as New Normal, online consultations are done thru text/SMS or virtual conferences against COVID-19. Telemedicine which makes use of electronic communication such as phones and/or other electronic devices to enable the patient to consult with his/her physician or health care provider about his/her condition, health care options and decisions at a distant site.
