Mixcraft 6 Mini Tip - Jon Lord Organ Tone
In memory of Deep Purple's organ player, Jon Lord, who passed away on July 16th, 2012. Here's a quick look at how Jon Lord got his signature Hammond B-3 organ tone, and how we can easily emulate that tone in Mixcraft 6.
The VB3 organ is using the default "VB3" patch with the Reverb knob turns down all the way and the Rotary Speaker ON/OFF switch set to OFF. The Shred amplifier is using the default "Marvel Crunch" preset. You can play with drawbar settings, amplifier settings, etc. to try different variations on this unique and aggressive tone.
