Animangaki is a 2-days anime / manga / game convention event which was organized by my University (Sunway University). Various entertainments such as Cosplay, Art, Band Performances, AMV competitions and the likes are found within this particular event, as you would in any other anime convention.
The Hisoutensoku Tournament for this year is organized at the Touhou Corner, which is led by none other than Itamaru. Due to the amount of participants this year, the scoring system has been changed.
The first phase is the Round Robin system, which has been explained in the respective Group match videos.
The second phase is the good ol' Winner and Loser's Bracket system lifted from the past tournament event (AMG '11), with a couple of minor changes.
Basically, participants will be pitting their skills against each other for 3 or so matches (5 at max), and each matches won will grant the victor with 1 point. Player's who scored 3 points will be able to further advance into the Winner's Bracket, while player's who had lost the match will be sent to the Loser's Bracket (Think of it as having 2 lives, just like any other Touhou games). In the end, the top winner of the Winner and Loser's Bracket will pit against one another for the ultimate showdown.
Also, unlike the past tournament, player's are given the freedom of choosing any character's they desire this time around.
