Afghan National Flag raises in USQ International University of Australia
Former Afghan deputy minister of Commerce Ajmal Hameed Abdurahimzai starts his PHD om the effects of long term Afghan war on economics, human resource and environment and thus he was directed by the leadership of university to raise Afghan flag in line with other countries flags.
1. The USQ University flies the flags of countries proportionally represented by the nationalities of international students studying on-campus at the University. That is, the flags of the top 20 countries, measured by student enrolment numbers are flown. These flags are rotated at the beginning of each semester. Due to the regular rotation of the flags in accordance with this procedure, the usual protocol described in Australian flags (flying flags in alphabetical order) is not followed
Three more flagpoles are used to fly the flags of countries with a lower student representation level. Noting that some countries may never make the top 20 by enrolment list, this provides and equitable and flexible solution in order to respond to student initiated requests to fly their national flag.
