Hey Everyone, Quintin Anderson here with @eagle3dstreaming
In this tutorial, you’ll learn how to use Epic Games’ Pixel Streaming system for Unreal Engine. First, we’ll cover the shared setup, where one Unreal Engine instance streams the same live session to multiple devices at once. Then, we’ll show how Epic’s Matchmaker orchestrates unique sessions for each user, enabling multiple concurrent streams. By the end, you’ll be able to deploy both shared-session and dedicated-session Pixel Streaming setups using Epic’s Pixel Streaming system.
Perfect For:
Unreal Engine developers and visualization teams who want to learn how to use Epic Games’ Pixel Streaming system to power real-time visualizations—spanning interactive real estate platforms, digital twins, car configurators, architectural reviews, product demos, and large-scale event or simulation experiences.
Important Note on Matchmaker:
As of Unreal Engine 5.5, the Matchmaker has been discontinued. This tutorial is best suited for UE 5.4 and earlier, or you can access the Matchmaker from this repository: https://github.com/EpicGamesExt/Pixel.... For more details, see the video chapter “Pixel Streaming Matchmaker Explained: Overview and Next Steps.”
We’ll also release a new guide soon covering matchmaking in UE 5.5 and later. Stay tuned!
