Using The Cisco delete recursive Command To Remove Directories - Part 1 of 1
The Cisco IOS file structure allows for the creation and use of directories. In order to delete a Cisco directory, you must first delete ALL files within that directory. Throw in nested directories, and clearing space can become tedious, thankless drudgery. Thankfully, you can use the /recursive option with the delete command to delete entire directories without first having to remove all of the files within that directory.
