Robo Trobo - Game Walkthrough (full)
A factory has broken down and this robot is called to fix the problem. Use your wits to solve numerous challenges in this physics and puzzle game called Robo Trobo! Your goal here is to move the robot and reach the red flag on placed somewhere on the platform. The robot can fix lots of objects and other machinery in the level. You will need to point and click to interact with the objects; drag or slide them to activate. Some obstacles can knock out your robot. You must move carefully or else you will start the level all over again.
Overview:
You’re a robot specifically a maintenance robot whose duty is to do the daily maintenance. We’ll just call him Robo and Trobo is presumably his last name. Robo sets out to do his daily work but apparently his work or the day or at least in the game is more than just the usual. Robo must not only deal with maintenance repairs but as well as a mischievous little robot, terrain hazards, puzzles and the occasional malfunction to get through his day.
Aesthetics:
The game has a cartoonish display and visual graphics. The art style for the game is good but nothing really is too impressive about it but it’s not bad of course. The background and terrain blend very well and that was probably the intention as it can add to the gameplay aspect which we’ll get into later. The animations are also smooth and fluent which are good. The music has that typical techno and mechanic beat to it. It’s like being in a factory with some robotic music. You even get treated to a nice little intro showing how Robo gets to start his day.
Gameplay:
Robo Trobo is a 2D side scroller mixed with a point and click puzzle game element. You control Robo by clicking on him to make him move. Clicking on him again makes him stop in his tracks. This is important because if he keeps moving, he may fall into a pit and die or move to a spike wall and also die. There is also the button on the top right to make Robo turn from left to right. You can even press it while he’s moving to keep him safe. The objective is to get to the end zone which is marked by a red flag or a red cone as it appears. However in order to get into the end zone, the players have to solve the puzzle into getting there. The game has different levels and each level could have one or more puzzles inside it. There are also times when the puzzles repeat or have a completely new one for some challenge. You do have unlimited lives in case you die so you’ll just restart the level again. We said earlier that the terrain and background blend in because that’s another aspect of the game. You have to click on the terrain or background to activate something that could relate to the game’s puzzle. The reason for this is that if the game’s visuals or part of it stand out then that could make the game a bit easier now. There are also stations where players can gain temporary upgrades for Robo. Just like giving him power arms to push heavy blocks and solve the puzzle. There are levels where you have to return to the station to remove the power up otherwise you can’t finish the game. Just continuously solve puzzles and proceed with the game. The game doesn’t have things like ratings and trials.
