Hi! I'm Alexey Manakhov, drummer for NEEDSHES.
At the very beginning of my drumming career, video covers inspired me a lot. When I was listening to Red Hot Chili Peppers, 30 Seconds to Mars and The Killers as a teenager, I thought of them as of some bodiless mystical creatures from another universe. Thanks to those guys on the Net and their covers, the door to the world of these bands was opened. They helped me to feel and understand music in general.
This is my first experience of making a full video cover. I decided to play my favorite song, the first one I have transcribed by ear many years ago.
Almost all my drumming career I kept putting off the moment of shooting my own cover waiting for the opportune moment. But I figured out that this moment does not exist. You need to put yourself together and go for it.
I know that many people are waiting for this moment. I want this video to be a call for action, it’s time to leave behind all your fears and doubts. Get inspired! And inspire others.
