Why Didn't The iPhone 7 Get IOS 16? | Explained
Yesterday Apple announced a bunch of new things at the WWDC 2022 or World Wide Developers Conference 2022. A new 2022 MacBook Air with the all new Apple M2 chip, A new Apple CarPlay, iPad OS 16, Watch OS 9 and of course IOS 16. And the thing what has got everyone talking is the fact that the 2016 iPhone 7 was dropped out of support. Its quite strange since the iPhone 6S got IOS 15 last year, it would only make sense that the much newer 2017 iPhone 7 will get IOS 16, but that's sadly not the case. So, why did apple not release IOS 16 for the iPhone 7? Why didn't The iPhone 7 Get IOS 16? What are the reasonings behind Apple not releasing iOS 16 on the iPhone 7? Lets explore all those questions in this video!
Last year in 2021, Apple launched IOS 15 for the iPhone 7 which fixed a whole plethora of issues that it had ranging from iPhone 7 Overheating, iPhone 7 Bad Battery Life, iPhone 7 Connection Issues and many more. The iPhone 7 was one of the longest supported Apple devices ever and the IOS 15 update really cemented its place as a solid overall budget iPhone in 2022 and this made a lot of people purchase it for a low cost. Despite its spotty history from launch day in 2016, the iPhone 7 was revitalized by the IOS 15 update.
We all expected that the iPhone 7 IOS 16 update would be the last supported OS for the iPhone 7 and a lot of people were keeping hope as so. The iPhone 7 is still a very very popular iPhone here in 2022 as it has a great selection of features and runs smoothly on IOS 15. So its sad to see the iPhone 7 wont be getting iOS 16 in 2022.
