The corniche is especially famous for its wonderful caves, located in the Ziama Mansouriah commune. A true wonder of Mother Nature with the sculptures of stalactites and stalagmites shaped by time. Unearthed in 1917 during the construction of the road linking Jijel with the coastal city of Ziama, these excavations, where temperatures are low in summer and high in winter, are the favorite place for thousands of summer visitors and tourists. Studies of the natural environment of these caves have revealed the existence of a dozen more caves, each one as interesting as the other, including Ghar el Baz (the falcon cave), urbanized and open to the public. Another wonder, the Taza National Park (PNT) with its 3,807 hectares, which cover marine and terrestrial areas. It is also a very popular area for its species of fauna and flora. Included in the UNESCO world network of biosphere reserves, this park has 146 faunal species including mammals and birds, 15 species of mammals including the magot monkey, a rare species endemic to North Africa, or the Kabyle nuthatch, and 435 plant species inventoried.
