In this 4D-STEM video, a Berkeley Lab-led team used a new electrochemical liquid cell to watch copper nanoparticles (between 7 nanometers and 18 nanometers) evolve into nanograins as they convert CO2 into ethylene, ethanol, propanol, and other multicarbon products. Their work could help advance next-gen solar fuels.
