At JAX London we talked to Simon Ritter (Azul Systems) about the current state of the Java platform. How can Local variable type inference be used in practice? What are the major new improvements in Java 13? Which features for future versions of the programming language are currently under development?
We will also talk about the increased release frequency of Java versions, which on the one hand has led to a greater speed of innovation but on the other hand poses a challenge for companies to update their systems more frequently.
