Well I would say that guitar lessons online are the very best way to learn. You can do it at a time and place to suit you, in fact anywhere on the world provided you've got access to a laptop. You don't need to visit a teacher in a studio or their home, you can do this in the comfort of your own home. You have access to all the materials online, and if you do need to work with a teacher one to one you can do it on Skype, and put recordings of your own efforts onto YouTube for your teacher to evaluate.

This is a very powerful method which I use a lot with my students. So I woukld say all-in-all learning online is the best way to do it these days.
