As in pregnancy, foods and drinks containing sweeteners should be avoided while breastfeeding. Alcohol consumption should also be reduced to zero if possible. If alcohol is consumed, it should be consumed in small amounts, and the baby should not be breastfed for the next 7-8 hours. Tea, coffee, and green tea, which contain stimulants, should be consumed in small amounts and in light concentrations. If the mother's milk causes gas in the baby, the mother should also avoid gas-causing foods.
