Why Audiology?
As a class we immediately related to the Canadian Academy of Audiology's 2014 contest theme "Why Audiology?" We decided to approach the contest theme by exploring the perceptions that people have about audiology, and defining exactly what audiologists do. We were surprised by how little people knew and understood about our career choice - including what we do and where we work. We put together this video to help bring awareness to our field. As we delved into the question "what is an audiologist," we began to understand the question "why audiology" more deeply and gained an appreciation for just how many people's lives are touched by our profession.
