JPSS Place You Love Challenge
For the Joint Polar Satellite System Program’s Place You Love challenge, we asked the public to submit photos of the places they love in order to create a video that we could use for social media, at events, on our launch page, and as part of the #JPSS2Launch broadcast.
NOAA’s JPSS satellites protect the places you love by providing continuity of critical, global observations of Earth's atmosphere, oceans and land that are used for forecasting severe weather like hurricanes, tornadoes and blizzards days in advance.
With over 500 photo submissions from across the world, check out the video compilation below to see what places people love, accompanied by musical artist Josh Ritter’s song “Homecoming.”
