Hello!
Our old iron has had a minor accident: it's completely broken after falling off the ironing board yet again, and the soleplate broke. It's not that old, though, about two years old. So, we're throwing it out and buying a new one. It's a Vitek iron. Model 1263, blue. It has a stainless steel soleplate and a 2400W power rating.
The package includes a measuring cup, instructions, and a warranty card.
We'll explain why we bought this iron, the pros and cons we discovered during our first use, and try ironing.
We also bought a protective cap for the iron; it's used instead of cheesecloth for delicate fabrics. The protective cap is attached and removed from the iron using a fastening system.
If you attach it as shown on the box, it doesn't stay in place and slips off while ironing. We've decided to attach it differently.
