MeetCast: Building VideoChat Application with MERN Stack, WebRTC & More!
Hello, I am Jagannath Samantra, and I am excited to introduce MeetCast, a project that brings together the concepts of meetings and podcasts into a single platform.
In MeetCast, users can seamlessly host both meets (video calls with screen sharing, audio, and chat) and podcasts (voice-only sessions), providing a flexible environment for communication.
For the development of MeetCast, I’ve used the following technologies:
MERN Stack (MongoDB, Express.js, React, Node.js): Full-stack solution for the backend and frontend.
Socket.IO: Real-time communication for live interactions.
WebRTC: Peer-to-peer technology for video and audio sharing.
TanStack Query: Efficient data fetching and synchronization.
RTK: Optimized state management.
Styled-Components: Dynamic and reusable styles for the UI.

Note:- I have deployed backend on render free instance, so the first API call might take a little longer to respond.
