The Isuzu D-Max ute has a new engine option! Subscribe here: / @therightcar
It's another diesel, of course, but it's a smaller 2.2L four-cylinder -- which replaces the old 1.9L diesel, which was underpowered and underwhelming.
This one is not based on the iconic 3.0L 4JJ3, and it isn't available in all grades. So in this review, I'm focusing on the X-Rider option which is the flagship 2.2L D-Max from Isuzu Ute Australia.
It has a new eight-speed automatic gearbox, and the brand has added engine start-stop / stop-start technology as standard.
