Veteran Lost Everything in the Fire, Then the Villagers Helped Him Build a New Home
After losing his old mountain home in the fire, A Minh begins a painful new chapter on a new piece of land.
He has nothing left but his courage, his memories of little May, and the hope that one day he will find the truth about what happened to her.
At the beginning of this episode, A Minh confronts Pao about the fire. He believes Pao may not have burned the house himself, but may have sent someone else to do it. Pao denies everything and says there is no evidence against him.
Pao also warns A Minh that he will keep watching him and does not want him to bring any outsiders back to the land.
Meanwhile, Officer Khang receives important information about the fire. Pao tells him that Vũ was the one who burned A Minh’s house and that Vũ admitted he had taken little May away after the fire. But when Pao and Vũ went back to find May, she was already gone.
Now the mystery becomes even more painful.
Where did little May go?
At the same time, Officer Khang brings villagers to help A Minh build a new small house. With the support of kind people in the village, A Minh begins to rebuild a place to live before the rainy season comes.
The villagers work together to build the foundation, raise the walls, and help A Minh create a new shelter after everything he lost.
But Pao is not truly there to help.
He pretends to be kind in front of everyone, but secretly tries to make trouble. He criticizes A Minh’s small house, complains about the materials, and even damages part of the new foundation while pretending it was an accident.
Sáu sees what Pao is doing and warns him to stop.
Even though Pao continues to cause trouble, the kindness of Officer Khang, the village chief, and the villagers gives A Minh a little hope again.
This episode is about rebuilding after loss, hidden jealousy, village kindness, and the painful mystery of little May’s disappearance.
