OpenSpace Product Announcements and Roadmap—Waypoint 2024
In this on-demand session from Waypoint 2024, Neil from the OpenSpace product team walks through what is coming in OpenSpace, including new functionality to scale reality capture across large portfolios, usage APIs for enterprise dashboards, and a new partnership with Disperse that expands progress tracking.
OpenSpace has grown to more than a quarter million active users and 37 billion square feet of coverage on the platform, with an average 15-minute turnaround on captures. Recent launches focus on making that scale easier to deploy in the field: multi-floor capture so teams can move between floors without restarting, overhead capture for above-head documentation, an updated mini-map for navigating field notes and captures, and improved user administration including bulk import from project management tools.
Neel spotlights Rosendin Electric, a top three electrical contractor per ENR, which has grown from its first OpenSpace projects to over 90 active projects. Rosendin piloted the new Usage APIs to pull capture statistics into their own enterprise dashboards in PowerBI, giving the team site-by-site and cross-site visibility on where captures are happening and how the investment is paying off.
The session also introduces Milestone tracking, a new offering powered by OpenSpace's Images API and a partnership with Disperse. Milestone tracking lets teams define their own schedule milestones, track progress against them across any visual element on a jobsite, and view results by project, building, floor, or zone, including week-by-week pace data. The solution was in closed beta at the time of the session, with broader availability planned for the beginning of 2025.
