The Black Death is crippling life in medieval Cologne, ruthlessly and indiscriminately killing swaths of people from all walks of life. Some fearless healers stand, both courageously and desperately, against this insidious disease. The plague doctors are achieving little with their medicinal herbs. But they are also marking the houses of the sick as a warning to the healthy, and are trying keep the sick in their homes to alt the spread of the plague.
