Subaru STI SI-DRIVE Modes
Join Team O'Neil instructor Al Moody in testing the Subaru SI-Drive modes in his Impreza STI on snow and ice here at the rally school. Subaru's SI-Drive modes change the throttle pedal sensitivity, giving you a different driving experience in each setting.
Intelligent mode gives the driver a linear throttle curve, as you gradually press the accelerator pedal, the engine will accelerate proportionally. Sport mode will give you more actual throttle opening sooner in the travel of the throttle pedal, and sport sharp (Sport #) mode will do the same to an even greater degree.
Which throttle mode is the best? That depends entirely on personal preference, road surface, and driving style.
