Just a quick tutorial on what you will need, and how to set everything up. It's actually quite cheap... $160 HD-PVR (I found mine on Kijij, the Canadian version of Craigslist), $15 VGA to Component cable (RGB) I got mine from a friend that owns a computer shop, $5 VGA Splitter (got from same friend), $5 Xbox 360 VGA Cable (you can find it on eBay, VERY cheap), $3 Piggyback Audio Splitter (I got these at The Source, you can also find them at Radio Shack). Like I said in the video, you can buy a VGA to HDTV converter box, but they're around $100, and the PCI capture cards that plug into your desktop computer can run you from anywhere between $300-$2000. I saved over $110! There is other ways of doing it, but I find this the most cheap effective way to do so, for HD that is.
I WILL post a video once I get the HD-PVR.
The reason why I have it this way, is because I love having 2 of the same monitors, Samsung Syncmaster 226BW. They only have VGA and DVI, but that doesn't stop me. If I wanted to use RGB (HDTV) I'd have to go and buy the component for Xbox 360 ($30+) and a HDTV (200+ for the smaller ones). If I wanted HDMI, I'd have to buy an Xbox 360 that has HDMI, as well as the HDMI cable, and of course a HDTV or monitor that has HDMI.
If you say switch to DVI, HDTV, or even HDMI,.. why? I already have everything I need and can play in HD. Quit trollin, troll.
