Use custom visualizations in Splunk Dashboard Studio builder
Splunk 10.2 introduced several new features, including support for existing custom visualizations within the Dashboard Studio builder.
This video responds to a previous question about adapting the same Network Topology visualization used in a Splunk Classic/Simple XML dashboard to display netflow data in Dashboard Studio.
Since the Network Topology custom visualization has been archived, I have included two alternative visualizations using the same netflow base search in a Dashboard Studio dashboard.
I will walk you through my process for incorporating a single base search into both the Network Diagram and 3D Graph Network Topology visualizations. This provides an opportunity to see all three visualizations in one dashboard to compare their functionality.
